Until September 21, the ArtJL brand is participating in the "Surcyclage" exhibition in Paris.
Merci, created in March 2009 in the heart of the historic Haut-Marais district in Paris, is a place that brings together the best of fashion, design and household items.
In his exhibition “Overcycling, The second life of things”, his team selected several objects, from upcycling, designed from natural materials.
Among these objects are 5 ArtJL design lamps, all made from old radiators from the 30s to 70s.
“Upcycling” is a diversion from the first use for a new reading”
“To encourage, support, celebrate upcycling is to stir up the desire to revive, to create from the existing and for the existing, in an approach of aesthetics and quality, explains the Merci team. in the presentation of this exhibition. (…) For Merci, valuing certain trades, industries, personalities, is a way of repositioning each day a little more in essentials, while respecting its values.(…)
The second life is, on the one hand, products created from recycled materials, and on the other hand, a diversion from the first use for a new reading. But it is above all a curation of creators, of realities, in ways in which we believe, encountered and unearthed around the world.”
